MPD-P906 Demo Mode issue

Hello,
I recently got a MPD-P906, after connecting it to my laptop it seems to be entering "Demo Mode" a few seconds after powering it up which makes it pretty useless. Keeps displaying "demo mode" .. random pressing the button cancels the message for a few seconds and the normal display shows, but it quickly goes away and it reverts to "demo mode".. Anyway to remove/fix this?
