TS101 empty display after updating to latest firmware

I followed the instructions properly on how to download the firmware through the e-Design website (https://e-design.com.cn/en/NewsDetail/4203645.html). The download was a success, the file became a .rdy file so I disconnected TS101 from my computer as said in the instruction. I then reconnected it to my DC Power Supply, then it does the loading screen ("Miniware" together with the logo), right after that it shows a blank screen. I was pressing on the buttons to see if that would help but nothing, then the tip got hot after awhile. How to fix this? The soldering iron is unusable without knowing the temperature.
