ES121 constantly showing charging

initially my es121 battery was totally flat so i put it on charge. while charging i smelled something was burning and picked up the es121 to find it was extremely hot, i disconnected the charging cable but the oled stayed on still showing charging battery and the screwdriver was hot for quite awhile longer. now it shows constantly charging battery until it goes flat again. can you please advise or how i get it repaired? thank you in advance
