Speaking of Open Source, the DS213 isn't really open.
There is sources for the main application. But without fpga spi protocol description and without fpga design sources, we can't extend DS213 features or fix bugs.
We do see how the app attempts to communicate with fpga, but we can't verify if that's correct at all.
I have reasons to believe the fpga side is responsible for triggering issues. It reports "EMPTY" status bit right at the trigger position, so application will stop reading waveform right there. Altering the application, and attempting to read beyond that point - just reads out the last sample taken.
Any chances fpga side info will be made available? |
