TS100 replacement tip problem

Hey friends!

I just received my TS100 from banggood and a replacement tip. The tip that came with the TS100 works fine, but the replacement tip acts weird, have a look for yourself:

I already updated the firmware, tried to eject and insert the tip several times without any luck.

To clarify the problem: The temperature readings of the replacement tip overshoot and the soldering iron fails to keep the temperature steady. When cooling down the temperature reading seem to work just fine. EDIT: I solved the issue!

I just read the manual and discovered this:

Problem 2:
Every time when installing
a new tip, the temperature status display
random numbers
Means the machine is checking status, which is normal

So I just waited about half a minute, switched the iron off and on again.. and hooray, it works now!

When each new iron head is heated for the first time, the temperature changes randomly, and it stabilizes in about 30 seconds. The next time you use the iron head, that won't happen.
