Newbie Question: why are there two waveforms?

Driven by curiosity, I got one to practice. It turns out I still don’t know anything about it. The screen invariably displays two waveforms. They are of identical shapes yet with opposite polarity. Why? Which one is useful? How to remove the useless one? See the pic below. Would you guys please give me some advice?

Did you setup the waveform operation? Actually the purple line can be hidden, please refer to the User Manual.

Surely the waveform operation has been set up since "-Inp" displayed on the top of the screen.(Inp is the present waveform, refer to the User Manual of page 6)
I suggest the O.P. should have a look the User Manual of page 9 carefully refer to EX Parameters about the instruction of how to cancel the waveform.

You may try to press the "-" "+" button pop-up window, select "EXt Refn" option, then by"<"or ">" button left and right to change "-Inp" for the "off", the two waveform operation line (purple line) be hidden.

New device with App 4.21 which added the function of off purple line.
