Won't reverse

I am having an issue where I can't reverse the motor to back out screws.  I can press the button and twist to activate the screw advance, and the twist controls will increase speed and stop.  However when I remove my finger from the main button the screwdriver will continue turning for several seconds.

I have update to the most recent firmware.

Please help me Obi Wan, you're my only hope.
