Over Current/Voltage shutdown protection mode

Hi,

I use the P906 with firmware 1.33.129. This device lacks basic but important functions, so it cannot be used in a professional environment.
Could you add overcurrent and overvoltage shutdown protection mode so that, when turned on, the power supply automatically cuts off the output when the set parameters are reached?
Also looking for calibration manual as my unit shows no load current draw.

I don't understand what you mean. Overcurrent protection and overvoltage protection are the functions of electronic load.

There are many implementations of the overcurrent/overvoltage protection mode. The power supply from the video has the simplest but reliable OCP variant where the OCP parameters are the same as the set current limit. This prevents situations where the OCP parameter is set higher than the current limit and prevents the output from shutting down. As you can see, this is a very useful function that prevents shorted devices from burning up.
The voltage protection mode works similarly, but for voltage.

Thank you for your suggestion, we will discuss this feature with our engineers, and we can add this feature if we think it is necessary. This can be achieved through a software upgrade.

Is there any progress with adding feature to the software? We are having a trade show on 20/12/2023 and would like to present a service desk which would include P906. However, at the moment it does not meet the required specification mainly due to the lack of the mentioned function. Are you able to release an update with the added function by then or share the source code by 27.11.2023?

The software of the MDP series products has been improved and updated, but unfortunately there is no timeline to disclose.

It seems that the product has been abandoned. Can you share the source code of the firmware? Even the old one will be fine.
