The transparent shells are so beautiful that I am always wondering if I can add some of my own small designing to make a cooler electric iron.
I want the electric iron to be more colorful inside, so I get some colorful LED lights

The transparent insulating cores next to the LED lightscomes from a broken T12 electric iron (they have good temperature resistance effect, and almost everyone has it, so it is recommended) and the cores are consistent with LED lights

Now, let's analyze the relevant circuits on the circuit board, to make colorful LED lights flash when the iron is heating, and turned off when the heating stops, to achieve a more intuitive result.
Based on this requirement, I decided to connect the LED lights to the mosfet of electric iron. mosfet switches electric iron on and off, by this principle, the relevant requirement can be met. Just do it, Let’s go and find the circuit.

Find mosfet D1 level (this iron adopts 4953 double-P-channel mosfet) which has designed such a wiring for LED lights, see mosfet information, parameters and the wiring diagram designed by myself

Aftersettling the designing solution, we can get started, get the tools ready first, such as wooden vise, diagonal pliers and file to process the LED lights

Roughly trim the circular LED light into a flat cuboid with diagonal pliers

Then, clamp the trimmed LED light bead with wooden vise, start to file it

Purpose of filing is to make the shape of LED light regular, and to make the light from the bead more even and not glaring

Don’t forget to file the top of LED light

Put the filed LED light bead and circuit board together to have a better idea

In accordance with the previous wiring diagram, accurately bend the LED pins, and attach with a 1K ohm current limiting resistor

Cover the STM32 module to see whether the module can be perfectly closed

Put the 1K ohm resistor into the circuit and find its most appropriate neutral position, mark down

Remove the LED light bead, weld the 1K ohm current limiting resistor according to the marked distance

Put transparent heat-shrink tubing on the 1K current limiting resistor

Install the LED, complete the process by welding the contacts at the positions which need welding in accordance with the previous designing solution

After the DIY process is fully completed, put on the shell. See below for the overall picture.
