DFU V3.12C not working under Windows 8.1 x64

I have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 x64 and the DFU virtual USB disk is no longer working correctly.  Sometimes I get a drive letter with the correct volume name, but whenever you try and access the drive (J:\) it just hangs.  I have installed all the latest driver updates for my PC and also used USBOblivion to remove all traces of USB drives, but nothing seems to fix the problem.  I have connected the DSO Quad to a Windows 7 PC and also a Synology Diskstation and DFU works correctly on both these systems.

I have HW V2.72, SYS 1.60 and APP 1.10.  Version of DFU is 3.12C.

Any ideas what I should try next?

I haven't updated to 8.1 x64 Windows.After I update give it a try.

I can't use DFU mode at Windows 8.1 X64 also.

I tried many methods, but has yet to find a solution, may win8.1 to STM32 MAss Storage support is not perfect

I have same problem on my Window 7 32bit. DFU hang up when touch it.

May be that is only my MS Window problem, I did try three PC at home, XP, notebook Win7 and desktop Win7, all hang up after copy .HEX file at bootloader. Finally, I using USB ubuntu linux to boot up one of my PC and copy .HEX file. Amazingly, it works like magic.

Cannot use "mount -t vfat -o sync /dev/sdb /mnt/dso", it will same as Window.
I used "mount -t vfat /dev/sdb /mnt/dso" and everything worked fine.

I have done it with windows 7 64bit.
If you have Virtual Machine such as VMware, Virtual PC or VirtualBox. You  can install a XP System inside it. And try to  USE DFU in the virtual system.Howevr it's the best solution that if you have a PC do not installed with Win8 64bit. tips:VirtualBox is  free.
