[i = s] posts by DrTeeth in 2018-5-31 00:59 Edit
The two TS100 has almost no chance of being broken at the same time.
Please bear in mind that I have used 3 different computers, 5 different OSs, many different USB cables and many different USB sockets. Something IS wrong with the soldering irons if it is that difficult. The instructions are VERY easy to fullow so there is a low possibility of not doing it right. On the other hand, it could also be that the instructions are not good enough as there is nothing about anti-virus software sodtware in them. I also had problems when I used Linux (Linux Mint 18) where there is no anti-virus software running.
I DID manage to flash the firmware, though I did not do anything differently than I had before. I used the same hardware and software I had used previously.
I have been in contact with somebody with a lot of experience with the TS100. I was advised that my experience is not unusual. I am reinstalling Win 7 just to help with the flashing of the TS100 in future. Mt PC will then boot two versions of windows and 9 Linux distros, all in primary partitions.
I am more than happy to work with you off-forum to get to the bottom of this.
Cheers
